Although today is the birthday of a certain Ninomiya Kazunari (Happy Birthday, Nino!), it's also the death anniversary of Demon Hide (read it the Japanese way with 4 syllables, not the English way, and you'll feel much better), a Japanese singer from the 1960s whose singing duo partner was his wife, Italian Rosanna Zambon. Rosanna was interviewed on Japanese Afternoon TV (JAT), as was her daughter, who was only around 8 when her father passed away in 1990. Apparently when Hide was on his deathbed, he gave his wife 15 roses (her favourite flower) that were all different colours to represent the 15 years they were together, each year different and beautiful in its own way. Extra not from JAT: Look here for more information on Hide and Rosanna, and listen to them sing bossa nova (in Japanese) here.
In other news, Oguri Shun goes rock-climbing! It's hard! He feels like giving up! But doesn't! 'Cause that would just be so uncool.
Also, a teenage boy in Yamaguchi Prefecture stabs his female classmate in school. Um.
